The Rescue Rooms Opens it’s Doors Once Again

News|August 31, 2011 5:59 pm

Nottingham’s premier music venue and bar The Rescue Rooms has been fully refurbished and will be opening its doors once again on Saturday September 3rd.

The new bar features black leather chesterfield-style seating, polished copper bars and ceilings, with oak floors and finishings throughout. It has also been extended to accommodate further live bands, DJs and entertainment right in the heart of the main bar.

The venue has been transformed offering unparalleled views of the stage, creating an unbeatable customer experience. Anton Lockwook, The Rescue Rooms Booker and Director of Promotions at DHP comments:

“After almost 9 years of good times spent hanging out in the bar, dancing at the best clubnights around and watching legendary gigs it was time to give Rescue Rooms a refresh and a reboot. I can’t wait to feel the transformed ambience of the new bigger bar whilst drinking a real ale, before hitting the venue and enjoying bands with more space and great sightlines and sound!

I think everyone has done a tremendous job in bringing Rescue Rooms right up to date, and I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone on the 3rd September for the launch.”

In addition to the refurbishment, The Rescue Rooms will now be open from 12pm every day and will be serving food from the new locally sourced menu until 9pm, with bar snacks available until 3am.

To celebrate the launch of the brand new look bar, The Rescue Rooms will be open for a special invite-only event from 8-10pm on Saturday 3rd September, opening to the public for the first Stealth v Rescued in the new venue from 10pm.

A whole host of local bands and DJs will be performing on the night including Long Dead Signal, You Slut!, Hot Japanese Girl, Yunioshi, Kirk Spencer,  MJ Cole (Talkin’ Loud) and Kingdom (Night Slugs).

This event will be a chance to look around the bar and sample some of the menu, with new dishes including crisp Mediterranean salads, sharing platters and specials, alongside old favorites like stone baked pizzas with fresh new flavours and hearty burgers with a variety of tasty new toppings.

The re-opening of The Rescue Rooms will coincide with the launch of the brand new website: www.rescuerooms.com, which goes live on Wednesday 31st August. This will be the first place to get updates about upcoming gigs, club-nights and promotions, alongside their existing Facebook, Twitter and The Rescue Rooms blog.

With everyone from Amy Winehouse to Four Tet, The Killers to Dizzee Rascal and The Libertines to Death Cab for Cutie playing the venue since it first opened just over 8 years ago The Rescue Rooms has always been an essential destination for those in tune with the movements of todays captivating band led scene.
