Well its been a long hard slog to get this little badboy right, but we are glad we put in the hours as the all new G I G U I D E is something to behold. We will be the first ones to admit that the first version of the guide worked in theory but when it came to putting it into practice fell apart… bit like communism.

Before we started the Monograph myself and Duncan would always discuss, at length and over a pint, that there wasn’t really one great broadcast of music happening in the city, hence how the ol’ mag came about. These discussions normally started off with us having a moan that it was quite a chore to scan myspaces and various ticket websites to find what you were after, and thats if you knew what you were after, browsing was pretty much non event. After starting version one on here when the website launched we found that it wasn’t really working and wasn’t really saying much, so we got back to the drawing board to see what we could muster for all you lot.

The final result is G I G U I D E, the only comprehensive list of gigs in Leicester. Launched the last weekend of every month it will feature our top picks, hidden gems and unmissable gigs, as well as having a full listing of each and every gig we can find happening that month in and out of Leicester. If that wasn’t good enough on its own (it is), you can even have it emailed automatically to your inbox so you don’t even have to come on the site to see whats going on (we would like it if you did pop in and say hello anyway). This email service is sent a full two days before it launches online so if you like to be safe to get them juicy tickets before they sell out this is a great way to get the content as a priority.

To start us off in August we have some great gigs lined up including Summer Sundae, The Screening and MadagaSKA plus some great clubnights that are sprining up around the city. You can expect one of these little badboys every month so if you fancy having your gig/clubnight/ event listed for September just drop us a line here.
