Fancy yourself as a bit of a bedroom remix god? Ever wondered what it would be like to have some of your work on an actual album? Well now you can be in with a chance thanks to our Label of the Month, Erased Tapes. They have kindly asked us to help with their call for submissions to remix a Codes in the Clouds track for their up coming remix album titled ‘Paper Canyon Recycled’ before they go off to record their much anticipated second album in September.
The likes of Nils Frahm, Tom Hodge, Rival Consoles, Machinefabriek, Yourcodenameis:Milo, Maybeshewill, Worriedaboutsatan, Library Tapes, iambic and many more have already submitted their twisted tunes and you could add your name to the list! The mix will need to be original and unique to get the attention of them, but if you reckon you can cut the mustard, it’s time to step up to the plate.
Submission is simple, all you need to do is drop a message directly to: codes[at]erasedtapes[dot]com to request all the stuff you need and you’re away. If you want to check out some of the already submitted remixes just go to the CITC myspace at www.myspace.com/codesintheclouds and check out the competition. Although we won’t be submitting a remix ourselves due to our dire skills with mixing, we will be keeping track if anyone makes it to the shortlist and provide updates. Time to show all the guys at Erased Tapes what Leicester is made of!
